CREATIVE EMBODIED THINKING

EXPERIENCE THE MORE OF WHAT YOU KNOW

PART ONE - SPEEKING FROM YOUR BODILY KNOWING

Let yourself be surprised and inspired as your rich bodily-knowing unfolds. By connecting to your implicit knowing, you will find new, deeper and clearer meanings of a subject you choose. In our online training, we will gently guide you to the mysteries of Thinking at the Edge (TAE). Along with learning the 14 steps of TAE, you will experience the spirit of TAE through playful exercises. Our class consists of three parts, with eight classes in each part.

In part one - Speaking from your Bodily Knowing - we will guide you through the first five steps of TAE. You will find your own language by working with personal experiences that are relevant for your topic and by reflecting your own meaning of common words.

Description

In our three part interactive Webinar, you will experience your body’s implicit knowing. As it unfolds you will find new, deeper and clearer meanings, of a subject you choose from your professional or personal field of interest. You will learn and experience how to connect to your felt sense, an inner vague sense of knowing more without words. By opening a space for the unclear and murky feeling, you will discover new understandings of your topic.

Our method is based on the philosophical practice, Thinking at the Edge (TAE), originally developed by Eugene Gendlin, founder of the well-known method for personal growth called Focusing. TAE is a structured process and that teaches you to find your own meaning behind common language, identify old thinking patterns and develop new ones from your own experiences. As you link new patterns together, your subject will be formed as a theory for yourself and others to understand more clearly.

We will guide you step by step through the TAE process and will offer additional playful exercises with literature, art, music and more, to get into contact with the special attitude used in TAE.

The full training consist of three parts, each one 8 weekly two-hour classes.

Part One, 8 Classes

In this first course, we will guide you through the first five steps. You will learn to connect to your bodily-knowing and find words to express it in your own logical terms.

As participants, you will work together in the class and in pairs on your own chosen topic. We will introduce TAE with interactive lectures, discussions and demonstrations. You will be invited to share your thoughts and results. We also encourage participants to practice between the classes.

Part Three - Linking It All Together
