CREATIVE EMBODIED THINKING

EXPERIENCE THE MORE OF WHAT YOU KNOW

PART TWO - FINDING NEW MEANING FROM OUR OWN EXPERIENCES

THINKING AT THE EDGE, STEPS 6 – 9

There really is life after steps 1 - 5! Have you gone through those steps and wondered how to get to the more after that? In this class, you will work with instances in your life that feel relevant to your topic. You will experience more meaning emerging from each experience. And by applying a method called crossing, your understanding of your topic will continue to expand and deepen.

Our method is based on the philosophical practice, Thinking at the Edge (TAE), originally developed by Mary Hendricks and Eugene Gendlin. TAE is a structured, 14 step process and we will make it easy and playful.

The six classes of Part 2 cover TAE Steps 6 - 9 - Finding patterns from instances (personal experiences).

After Part 2, we will offer part 3 - Linking It All Together! In the third part you will creatively interlock your clearer words to form your theory. Next, by applying the theory to another field you will learn more about that and your own topic.

How we work

As participants, you will work together in the class and in pairs on your own chosen topics. We will introduce TAE with interactive lectures, discussions and demonstrations. You will be invited to share your thoughts and results. We also encourage participants to practice in between the classes.
